Charlemagne Palestine ‘theeOorgannnissstheeGgreattestttSsynthesizerrrEverrrrr’ (Meakusma)

Like a super time-stretched diminished chord, infinitely punctuating the terrifying twist of some real-life horror movie, ‘theeOorgan…’ slowly combines each unsettling tone to progress the narrative. Recorded as part of the Meakusma festival in Eupen, Belgium, American avant-garde musician Charlemagne Palestine spends almost 40 minutes manipulating these slow-rolling drones to epic climax. The result is a kind of desensitisation to the tumult, its intensity too intoxicating to resist. Awesome in the truest and original sense of the word.
