FROST is a solo drums and electronics project built around a hybrid setup of live kit, triggered samples and synchronised AV.
‘Functional Language for Underlying Structure’ was released April 2026 on Patchworks and explores overstimulation, achievement culture and collective burnout through hybrid electronic-acoustic drum performance, tightly sequenced electronics and contributions from Verity Susman (Memorials, Electrelane) on tenor saxophone, Thomas Stone on contrabassoon and Ben Garnett on guitar. Its ten tracks grew from looped phrases overdubbed with repitched versions of themselves, a technique created by FROST he calls polyresampling.
FROST is the drummer on Benefits’ debut album ‘Nails’, and has collaborated with Gold Panda and Xylitol. He has performed alongside Talvin Singh, The Field and Memorials, and has received support across releases from Rob Luis (Tru Thoughts) and Stuart Maconie (Freakzone, BBC Radio 6). 2026 live dates include headline shows at Sonic Arts Week in Middlesbrough and Alphabet in Brighton, plus Shake The High Road Festival in London, Unfest in Tunbridge Wells and Electro Cafe in Bristol.
