A 12-hour exploration of avant-electronic and experimental music in central London

Central London’s premier celebration of experimental sound, Soho Electronic, returns for its second edition on Saturday, 28th November 2026. Running continuously from 12:00PM to 12:00AM, the all-day festival transforms the historic district of Soho into a vibrant epicenter of sonic exploration, tactile hardware experimentation, and pioneering electronic arts.

The Festival spans four venues in the heart of Soho – All Is Joy (75 Dean St), Cuts (41 Frith St), and The Place / ex-Sunset Strip (30 Dean St), ROVR (14 Richmond Buildings).

Soho Electronic will showcase over 30 musicians, sound artists, and DJs pushing the boundaries of contemporary sound creation. From electro-magnetic tape disruptions and zoetropic turntables, to acoustic architecture, hypnotic delay environments, and modular synthesis, the festival highlights artists using a hands-on array of unique physical hardware.

Saturday 28 November 2026, 12PM – 12AM

2026 HEADLINERS:

Mark Van Hoen (Locust)

A pioneering British electronic musician since 1981, Mark Van Hoen brings his distinct signature blend of trance beats, warped tape constructions, and IDM. Drawing inspiration from Brian Eno, Kraftwerk, and Tangerine Dream, Van Hoen sonically explores philosophical questions of time and space on his latest album, The Eternal Present (Dell’Orse Records). Utilizing raw, time-dilated tracks and backtracking tape loops, his live performance promises deep, hypnotic grooves.

Nik Colk Void

Renowned UK electronic musician and artist Nik Colk Void brings her shapeshifting, exploratory approach to the festival stage. Utilizing voice, guitar, modular Eurorack systems, extended techniques, and cut-up synthesis sampling, Void crafts a distinct sonic vocabulary spanning techno, club, experimental, and noise. Void has released eight critically acclaimed studio albums through Mute, DFA, Blast First, and Editions Mego with project collaborations including Factory Floor, Carter Tutti Void, and NPVR.

Sculpture

Audiovisual duo, Sculpture, combine unstable electronic music, animation and video art in transitory forms. Their process maximises the possibilities of unexpected combinations, emergent polymedia, accidental meaning and found patterns in unclassifiable and compelling live performance. Sonic and visual music, located somewhere between rave warp and experimental film. A volatile simultaneity links the duo’s visual turntablism and metamorphic sound. With a camera mounted on a Technics turntable and a chaotic library of zoetropic prints, visual artist Reuben Sutherland combines animation, tactile photo collage, and cutting edge digital technique in hyperkinetic patterns and op-art cuts. On sonics, musician Dan Hayhurst misuses samplers, tape loops, cassette players, CDJ deck and FX to create an analogue/digital hybrid of outsider pop, experimental composition and improvised splatter.

Sonny E (Adamski)

Spotting a Teddy Boy in a flamingo pink drape suit strutting down a London street had an epiphanic effect on the pre-school Sonny E. ”That’s what i want to be when I grow up” he exclaimed to his clearly unimpressed father…. and he has indeed ended up on the Teddy Boy spectrum! Sonny E. Describes his genre as “Cyberbilly,” a self-styled fusion of 1950s rockabilly, psychobilly, and futuristic electronic soundscapes using AI tools, a laptop, and a microphone. This, is why Cyberbilly exists. It’s the synthesis of rockabilly, electro, psychobilly, and futurism. It’s The Cramps and The Meteors filtered through the lens of Devo and Suicide.

Howlround

First gaining widespread acclaim with their 2012 release The Ghosts Of Bush, Howlround operates as a quintet of four vintage reel-to-reel tape machines and a single human operator. Creating music purely from manipulating natural acoustic sounds on tape with no artificial reverb or electronic effects, Howlround exposes the tactile, uncanny underbelly of our digital age.
