Men and machines in perfect harmony in the ES studio

David McAlmont remains one of the finest voices in British music, and his collaboration with former Soup Dragons frontman-turned-producer/DJ Hifi Sean produced the gorgeous album ‘Happy Ending’ earlier this year. We described it as “an exquisite record shaped by a heart-warming alliance”.

Their visit to the Electronic Sound studio brought the tracks from the album alive, with McAlmont’s voice effortlessly soaring over Sean’s Moog interjections. When Sean cracked out the Omnichord – he told us he has quite the collection – it all became even more magical.
