TVAM and Riki return with a new collaboration, The Sorrow via TVAM’s Psychic Data label.
The Sorrow is a heady tale of love and loss, brought to life by TVAM and Riki. Collaborating closely to dream up a world of romance and heartbreak, the pair weave their talents in crafting an atmospheric track featuring dark and ominous synths, spellbinding piano motifs and haunting vocals. The track lives and breathes in a world of dark magic, ancient folklore and timeless love.
Following a chance introduction; TVAM having recently released his latest album and Riki having lately collaborated with Mareux on “Ébène Fumé”, the pair worked remotely in LA and Manchester, UK, to marry TVAM’s dark and gothic moods with Riki’s instinct for melody and performance.

TVAM’s Joe Oxley remembers, “It’s rare to find those moments when two artists can connect on something and it just seems to fall into place. It happened as soon as I dropped Riki’s vocal into the mix and the piece came alive.” The release also features a remix by Liverpool-based dark electronic outfit, Those Holy.
On Those Holy’s remix Oxley says, “They played with us on the Ruins tour earlier in the year a just blew me away. They’ve got their own sound, really dark and intense but with these fragile moments which mess with your head.”
Since his debut album Psychic Data burst from a small bedroom studio in Wigan UK, TVAM has defined the sound and spectacle of nostalgia’s grip on modern life, from the sloganeering of “Porsche Majeure” to the electioneering of “Semantics,” his music has gained daytime playlistingon BBC 6 Music and has been featured on TV including groundbreaking series Succession.
Riki is a multifaceted artist known for her ethereal synth-pop sound, captivating performances, and striking visual aesthetic. Drawing inspiration from 80’s new wave and Italo, she crafts music that is both nostalgic and fresh, blending dreamy melodies with heavy-hitting electronic beats.
Mastered by Dean Honer of I Monster and Moonlandingz, and released on 2 September on digital and limited edition “Blood is Thicker” 2-track cassette single. Cassette release is limited to 100 copies and available via Bandcamp.
