Bluedot’s Thursday night opening concert is always a special event. Last year saw Hannah Peel and the Paraorchestra create a magical atmosphere in the shadow of the Lovell Telescope. This year Max Richter takes the slot, with Tilda Swinton joining him.

Fresh from Glastonbury, and having first worked together on his second album, ‘The Blue Notebooks‘ 20 years ago, the Oscar award-winning actor will join Richter for his performance. Reading from The Declaration of Human Rights for his piece ‘VOICES‘, this will be her first ever performance of this work.

Bluedot runs from Thursday 20 July to Sunday 23 July.
