Vancouver’s sonic collective visit Electronic Sound studio

Crack Cloud first blipped on the Electronic Sound radar back in 2019. It was clear that this was no ordinary band with their stirring mix of tightly constructed krautrock-tethered post-punk repetition and explosive improvisation.

They rather fabulously describe themselves as a “Canadian mixed media studio. Its content examines the cultural intersection between media and modern identity”. We were hooked.

Their session for Electronic Sound came in the wake of their second album, ‘Tough Baby‘, the follow-up to 2020’s extraordinary ‘Pain Olympics‘ and is a masterclass of intensity and free musical thinking.
