Epic electronic dream power hits the Electronic Sound studio

“I wanted to create a hypnotic journey, where the synths and sounds weave in and out of each other, so you get lost in the music and don’t know where one sound starts or another ends,” says Ryan Lee West of his 2022 album ‘Now Is‘. That’s certainly what he delivers in this extraordinary session, a live experience of visuals, light and sound in synchronised harmony.

Ryan Lee West was the first artist to sign to the now much-regarded Erased Tapes label, his references range from the avant garde composer György Ligeti – his 2020 album ‘Articulation’ was named after one of his pieces – to the dreampop shoegaze art rock of the late 1980s. His work rate has seen an album a year since 2020, with 2021’s ‘Overflow’ and just 10 months later in 2022 ‘Now Is’.
