Video: Keller Machine – ‘The Lives Of Others’

They’re listening to your phone calls and reading your letters

Named after a mind-mushing device used by The Master in an episode of ‘Doctor Who’ back in the glory days of Jon Pertwee, Keller Machine are Sam Day and Adam Donovan. The pair released their debut album, ‘Kitchen Sinks And Rocket Ships’, a couple of months ago.

Day and Donovan make their entertaining videos themselves and the latest to hit YouTube is for ‘The Lives Of Others’, a short and sharp electropop song powered by almost punk levels of vim which is typical of the band’s sound. The video is a mixture of found footage and original material, but it’s not always easy to tell one from the other. Keep your eyes peeled for shots of some truly wonderful retro technology.
